Unveiling the Secrets: Jacy Jayne's Royal Rumble Journey
A Tale of Surprises and Challenges in the WWE
Get ready for an inside look at Jacy Jayne's remarkable journey as she made her debut in the 2026 WWE Women's Royal Rumble match. From hidden hotel stays to unique fashion choices, Jayne's experience is a captivating story.
Jayne, the NXT Women's Champion, entered the ring at the 24th spot, facing off against fellow NXT talent Sol Ruca. Her 16-minute performance was a highlight, but the lead-up to this moment was filled with intrigue.
In a revealing interview with Bully Ray on Busted Open After Dark, Jayne shared that she and other surprise entrants were kept under wraps for nearly a week. "We were surprises, and we had to keep it that way," she explained. This meant a secluded stay in a Saudi Arabian hotel, with limited movement outside.
"We were hidden away, but it gave me time to prepare mentally," Jayne added. "I could visualize my entrance and imagine the crowd's reaction."
But here's where it gets controversial... In Saudi Arabia, women wrestlers face strict guidelines. Jayne had to navigate the process of getting her bodysuit approved by WWE corporate, ensuring it met the country's conservative standards.
"It was a challenge," she admitted. "They wanted a full-body suit, nothing revealing. My first design, a red bodysuit with chains, was rejected. No red, no chains, and no black straps."
When asked about the red color, Jayne speculated, "The Bella Twins were there, and they wore red. I think that's why."
Competing in the approved bodysuit, Jayne faced a new challenge. "It was restrictive. I felt like I was fighting the suit itself. My movements were limited, and I knew my performance might suffer."
And this is the part most people miss... Jayne's elimination by Sol Ruca sets up an intriguing championship match. Ruca will challenge Jayne for the NXT Women's Championship on February 24th, adding a new layer to their rivalry.
So, what do you think? Was the bodysuit restriction a necessary compromise, or did it hinder Jayne's performance? Share your thoughts in the comments! The WWE's approach to these cultural differences is a fascinating topic for discussion.
